so
I'm getting the hang of writing with my iPod. Nothing too dreadfully exciting going on. Should I become a lawyer or a therapist? Law school would be a challenge. Actually I want an unusual job! Something like: magician or a street performer or a videographer. Something fun, and that keeps me alive too... Well there's also um a pet trainer! I like dogs. But cats are only cute when they are kittens, ha I would be a show dog trainer. Or maybe I'll write a book or make a film. Choices choices!

A Pagan's Prayer

Spirits of space and spirits of land
I send my words flying
With this rose in my hand
Upon this knoll where I'm still dwelling

To the east, then To the south
To the west, and To the North
I claim this power within me
Bringing love as she comes forth
Through this sacred faery ring...we sing
To the beauty of our King.

Summerland, is this the time of an earthly death?
Or is this the new season, to sow the seeds of life?
Another chance, to survive...we are surviving.
From Above and above us as below

The waters surround me and support me still
The sky reaches out to touch me
Oh world below, watery world
Your fragile depths, where a pearl hides so deep

Pearl- from sand and stone, rain slows down and we go to sleep

Aw, I am in aw, of the growth from where you've sprung
From entwined serpents the bees they do not sting anyone
Their honey is too sweet, they shall harm none

GODDESS of heart and soul, keep their bodies warm
The persecuted shall find Justice after all
Oh Lord and Lady, hear my call!

His Soul must be free, from the cold blanket of snow
The vein is thick, the veil is thin

Which way to flow, growing colder still
warmly melt in their surrendering grace
Find him rest, find her freedom

Amongst the flowers and violets

Grace to the STAR, and this PENTACLE of PEACE
remember, listen to this... the law of three, harm none
And all good deeds returned to you and I as one.
Blessed Be

Please Enjoy

Subject:Celtic Recon.
Time:10:08 pm

Hello friends,

I have decided on my path finally. The path is Called Celtic Reconstructionism. I have always been drawn to the Celtic world, and find that all of my beliefs seem intertwined with those of theirs. I believe that with practice, and study I will learn what I can do and practice being part of Celtic Recon. I will grow closer to myself individually through this belief system.
I remember that I was being called through a dream by a whispery woman of the hills, and oft times in my sleep I also have heard the fairy names and Gods and Goddesses, esp. "silver wheel" Arionhrod. I found her after  I knew who she was. I also know there is truth to the Tuatha De Dannan, and Tir Nan Ogh. I am so excited to celebrate the dead on Samhain, and to set up altars for the relatives and beloved family who has passed on.

I think that with this new path, this rarely trodden path which I am embracing I will become more close with mother earth, and my soul.

The Fairy Queen

Missing image
Little Gillian liked to tease
The fairies in the big oak trees
And sometimes she wondered how it'd be
To bring one home to daddy and mommy

The lonesome whisper seemed to know
A whimper first, then it came slow
As her dream had foreshadowed
In scarlet wings, she'd go tomorrow

To the haven of a sunlight's jewel
A place where all her laden dreams
Danced about like a carnival
Alight with funny angel beams

Little Gillian would soon tempt
A fire to scorn her bravest dare
When into the forest she scurried away
Away from them and far from there

Where moon woke up, to an orangey light
And sunshine slipped away
Her heart simply skipped as the merry man sang
Gillian Gillian come dance with me!

But not for too long, because then he came!
All covered in darkness, with a bright starry cape
And with his hand he wiped before Gillian's eyes
The land covered in sadness, no more paradise.

Then the trolls stomped in defiance, for they were an alliance
To the Fair Shining ones of the Hills
Soon they came a-roaring through the trees they were storming
Rescued Gillian from his evil

In a silhouette of gleeful sparks
Tiny silver bells rung and the Fairy dance continued
Round the orangey light the sang
Gillian the fairy girl, Gillian the Fairy Queen!

                                  PRIESTS AND PRIESTESSES
How did a person become a priest/ess in ancient Egypt?

Well, each family had their own family worship area, the size of
which is wholly dependent upon the size of the house they lived in.
More about this when we get into the path of the Aait-Shesheta.
Therefore, in each family, someone had to act as the family priest/-
ess. If the father or mother was a priest/ess, then he or she was the
family religious leader, in charge of the family rituals. If the
parents were not initiated priest/esses, then usually the Elder Son
acted as the religious leader. However, in some nomes (or states),
matrilineal descent (through the female) was a tradition so the Eldest
Daughter was the religious leader.

2036

The only schools, including most crafts, were taught in the
temple colleges. A child would be sent to a college to learn a craft
between the ages of 6-10. If the family had a tradition of priest/-
esses then usually the children would go to the temple college to be
interviewed and tested for the priesthood. Exactly how the priest/-
esses at the college tested the would be initiate is not well known
yet, but we do know that usually the following priests would be
involved:

1. A Divine Scribe (reader and writer initiate)
2. A Prophet (who uses divination of some sort and inner visions)
3. A Purification Priest
4. A Priest of Anubis (or some other sort related to traveling in
Egyptian heavens (astral plane directly related to Egyptian
heavens).

Every Egyptian temple had 2 types of staff, a magical one and a
working one (working meaning the scribes, bakers and people who run
the every day part).

If the would be initiate was found wanting in the magical staff
(called People of the Circle, which we will get to when we talk about
temple organization), the person may be sent back, or taught a craft,
or go into the working temple staff.

One of the first things that any initiate is taught is Egyptian
Philosophy, which is really less like Voltaire, and more like Ethics
and Conscious. The would be priest needs to come up with his own
ethics or philosophy before embarking on to magical training.

Therefore ethics and morals was the beginning of the training. If
one had to make a "Readers Digest Condensed" version of all of the
Egyptian ethics and philosophy teachings it would be; as one Egyptian
Philosopher put it (but not quite as well).

Do anything you want, but only in moderation, and while doing so,
do not harm anyone physically or psychology.

Almost exactly like the Wiccan motto : Do what they wilt, but
harm none.

But to the ancient Egyptian, theirs also says, "don't harm
yourself, and don't go overboard on anything: Moderation.

DIVINATION OF BES, BAST, OR HATHOR
(from Leyden Papyrus)

Use a divining bowl of pottery. Use green or some vegetable based
ink. Preferable to use hieroglyphics, but try it a few times without
them and use english (but if you can, do as the Egyptians do) Write
your request or formula in base and inner sides of bowl using the
vegetable ink. Also write in either Bes, Bast, or Hathor's name three

2037

times while meditating on the goddess and your request. (pick one
goddess, not all three)

Pour consecrated water in it to dissolve the writing.
Swallow water
Go to sleep

(If you can sleep in a temple, sacred area, so much the better,
otherwise at home, and record your dreams when you wake up.)

A divination bowl, in Egypt, was specially made for the purpose;
however, if you're not a potter, pottering around, find one out of
pottery, usable (no lead based paint or in the clay), about the size
of rice bowl. Consecrate and bless it, and viola, a divining bowl.

Back in those days, green paint was either a vegetable dye or
green ochre. They didn't use the ochre, but a vegetable dye would
work. Although I know of people who specifically prepare a vegetable
ink (macerated herbs in a small bowl of water), a food coloring would
be okey, but I would still suggest using a mortar and pestle and
grinding some herbs you specially selected, and putting it into the
food colored water and let it seep for a bit, and then use that. It
would definitely be closer to the spirit of the occasion. I know, next
you are going to ask, what herbs?

Well, the ancient Egyptians had comfrey and you can heal thyself
at the same time. Lettuce was considered an aphrodisiac, sacred to Min
(so if your request or question is along that line, add that); they
also used mint a lot.

Witch's Ritual Purifcation Bath Tuesday, April 01, 2008

I want to have a ritual bath this afternoon.
I feel called to Witchcraft/Wicca and Taoist Alchemy?

My BOS is getting scattered. I was bad yesterday. Today is a fresh new start, like the first of spring. Let's just pretend we're starting over today.

Ritual Bath

Here’s another post for the Witch in You project I am working on, directly from the pages of my original Book of Shadows. May it bring you blessings, joy, and inspiration. Blessed Be. Lady Rose

Ritual New Moon Bath Recipe
Mix together in a large glass jar: 2 cups rain water, 2 cups spring water, 2 cups nearest running water (stream, ocean, river, etc.), 2 tsp rue, 1 tsp myrrh, 1 handful sea salt.
Add a cup of this mix to a freshly drawn tub of warm water.
Purpose: for renewal and cleansing of the spirit and aura, wash away the old, new beginning, spiritual reawakening.

Spiritual Bath Method
(Note: shower or bath first to remove every day dirt, then clean the tub and draw a fresh bath.) Religous or spiritual baths are baths wich are used ot have a difinite spiritual effect on the person taking them. These baths are prescribed to solve problems, promote well being, open up one’s senses to the spiritual realm and various other purposes. The effects may not be immediately apparent to the person but may take time to reveal themselves (i.e. in a dream, inspiring thoughts, healing, less stress, etc.)

A spiritual bath must be taken in a specific manner if it is to have the greatest benefit to the person for who it is prescribed.

First start with a clean tub, as a final rinse use a mixture of sea salt and water. Fill the tub about half full of luke warm water, add the ritual bath ingredients in to the water while the water is still running. Once the tub is half full, turn off the water and stir with your hand three times clockwise (visualize the purpose of the bath and feel your intent being mixed with bath water, can also use a prayer or affirmation to state your intent).

Do not use soap, bubbles or other ingredients. Set a timer for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

Enter the water, nude, and immediately immerse the whole body, including the hair. While in tub focus, meditate, or pray on the purpose of the bath as your use your hands to pour water over yourself, covering your whole body until the time has elapsed.

When leaving the tub wrap your hair in a towl and don a robe or wrap your body in a large bath towel, do not dry yourself in any way; let yourself air dry.

Spend some time relaxing, i.e. sip some herbal tea, meditate, read an inspiring book, if it is evening retire for the night. Keep a journal handy to jot down any dreams, thoughts or new ideas that you have for the next several days.

Note: after a spiritual bath your should not bathe or wash your hair for 24 hours.

The Ritual Bath
Water has played a part in purification rites for millenia in widely divergent cultures (think for example of Baptism within the Christian church, or of the daily ritual baths taken by the clergy of Isis or of the sprinkling of water which greeted worshippers at the temples consecrated to Aphrodite in Ancient Greece).

The King and Queen in the Alchemical Hot TubThe simplest ritual bath is a hot tub into which a cup of epsom salts have been poured. To awaken the cleansing essences of the salts you should bless and charge them. You can do this by putting the salts into a small bowl—especially good for the purpose are those shell bowls which are available at many new age shops. Then raise your hands ove the salts and say,

"Goddess, bless these salts."

You can also add a few drops of the magickal oil appropriate to the working to the bath.

Another excellent purification bath is the hyssop bath. Hyssop is a potent cleansing herb. It is fragrant and fresh smelling and gives the water a distinct energy which is almost tangible. Make a decoction to add to the bath. This can be done by taking four teaspoons of dry hyssop and pouring boiling water over it and letting it steep, covered for about 20 minutes. You can also make decoctions using many other herbs (click here to see other recipes for herb decoctions)

Lavender is also suitable for purification baths and is prepared exactly the same way as the hyssop except you substitute five tablespoons of lavender for the hyssop. Then strain the liquid into your bath. Don't omit this step because otherwise you will probably stop up the tub!

As you soak in the tub, inhale the fragrance and visualize yourself becoming physically and spiritually cleansed by the light of The Goddess. Either dip your head in the water or pour some over your head. Take your time. Enter a meditative state. Candlelight, sunlight and moonlight are particularly conducive to producing the proper state of being for effective spell-casting.

Salt has been used in healing for centuries to treat respiratory illnesses, fevers, wounds, and skin diseases.  Also, energy healers have recommended salt baths to help cleanse negative energy from people’s aura.  Usually only a few tablespoons or cups are used for such baths.   However, we have recently discovered that salt baths can help people with serious negative entity attachment or possession problems.  The difference is much more salt is required.  This tutorial discusses how to prepare a mega salt bath and the value of salt for people suffering from serious negative energy or entity problems.

*Warning!  Do not do mega salt baths if you have kidney, liver or heart problems. You may wish to consult your doctor prior to taking a mega salt bath, if you have low blood pressure, liver, kidney, or heart problems.  Drinking alcohol can greatly dehydrate your body and cause low blood pressure.  Never take mega salt baths if you are dehydrated.  A doctor should be consulted before giving any child a salt bath."

Salt Bath Procedure:

What you need:

-      At least 4 kg (8.8 lbs.) of coarse crystal salt to start with (Crystals 1/8th of an inch in diameter or more), preferably sea salt.  You can raise or decrease the amount of salt used in the bath based on your needs.  You want something that will not dissolve too rapidly.  If sea salt is too expense you can use pickling salt or salt used in swimming pools.  The important thing is that it be in a coarse or chunky crystalline form.

-     Tea towels and older towels you do not mind submersing in the bath tub.

-     A snorkel (if you want to totally submerse your head)

-     If you would like some ambiance get out some
candles and nice music.

-     An hour or two of your time.

The Procedure:

*Caution: this procedure is not suitable for children under the age of 10 years because of dehydration risks.

*Check with your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems and make certain you drink lots of water before and afterwards.

*Do not drink alcohol before or during mega salt bath. This increases the risk of dehydration.

Step 1: Drink a large glass of water or Gator Aid. Gator Aid is best. Have water on hand to sip during the bath. Eat a banana before the bath, as this also will help stop dehydration.

Step 2:

Draw a bath.  You might have to be in it for a while so give some room to add more hot water to keep the bath at a comfortable, relaxing temperature.

Step 3:

If you have negative energy problems concentrated down your back, it is helpful to lay an old towel on the bottom of the bath tub.   Pour 2 kg (4.4 lbs.) of salt over the towel.  The towel will help keep the salt crystals in place so they do not shift around on the bottom of the bath tub.  Also the towel will help press the crystals up against the skin on your back.  It is important that there be close skin contact with the crystals.

Step 4:

Before you lay down in the tub grab some tea towels and wet them.  Pour salt on these and wrap them around any parts of you which will not be submerged in the salt water or around parts of your body that you notice have particularly high concentrations of negative energy.  Pour the remaining salt from foot to chest.

Step 5: Shower or rinse with fresh water afterwards. This is important as salt on skin will cause dehydration.

*Have plenty of water on hand to sip during the bath.

Notes about covering the head:

You can use the wet tea towel technique to keep salt in close contact to your neck and head.   If your biggest energy problems are around your head you may also wish to submerse the head and breathe through a snorkel.  This is extreme, but a valuable option for some.

Cautions:

(1) These large quantities of salt in a bath can be dehydrating.  It is advisable to drink a large glass of water or Gator Aid prior to the bath.  Also, if you start feeling dizzy get out of the bath tub, reduce the heat of the bath and have another glass of water.   It is unlikely you will have problems but if you have very low blood pressure or heart problems you may wish to consult your doctor first.

(2) Salt can sting the eyes.  In the event that salt does get into your eyes rinse your eyes out with fresh water from the tap for several minutes.

(3) If you have a septic field beware that large amounts of salt can cause problems for a septic field, especially if it is located in clay soil.  The salt can bind with the clay and the porosity of the septic field lost.  In this event the entire septic field may have to be dug up at great cost.  Dumping into a city sewer system tends not to be a problem since there is a great deal of dilution down the sewer line.

(4) Heavy salt baths do affect the pH (alkalinity).  For women this can increase the risk of vaginal yeast infections.  A vinegar or garlic water douche after the bath can help avoid this problem.

(5) If you have medical problems, specifically, liver, kidney or heart problems, check with your doctor first.

(6) Do not drink alcohol before or during a mega salt bath as this increases risk of dehydration

(7) Showering after mega salt bath is very important to reduce risk of dehydration.

Case Histories:

Please note that names have been changed for privacy.

#1: Violet’s Case, which started it all:

One day after doing distance healing on a particularly difficult negative entity attachment case, a great deal of fiery electric negative energy ended up on my hands, arms, feet and legs and chest.  I had been overworking myself and was tired at the time.  I decided to take a bath and deal with this problem later.

Then I noticed a large bag of sea salt behind the bathroom door.  My husband occasionally took salt baths.  I decided to see just what salt could do.  Normally, small amounts of salt are used for salt baths.  Instead of using a small amount, I poured half of the 2 kg (4.4 lb) bag over my feet and legs and then the other half on my chest.  I then grabbed salt crystals in my hands and crossed my arms over my chest ensuring lots of contact with the wet salt crystals.  I was very impressed with the results.  All the negative energy sensations stopped within a few minutes of laying there relaxing.  I then showered to wash off the excess salt.

After this experience, I asked the women, Cindy, who I had been distance healing that day to try a mega salt bath.  She too found surprising results and continues to find the salt baths helpful.  Cindy later reported that sea salt was more effective than pickling salt.   She also reported that during her first heavy salt bath, with salt crystals poured on her chest, feeling a major uncoiling and release of an uncomfortable negative energy, which was inside her heart chakra.

It was also discovered after several more cases, that when large amounts of negative energy were involved, more salt and longer bathing times were required to feel significant relief.  So, if you need to be in the bath for an hour or more you may want nice ambient music and candles to help you relax and enjoy your stay.

#2:  Karl:

Karl, a male in his early forties was complaining of severe pain in all his joints and vertebrae.  He was growing increasingly concerned because the pain was now spreading to his internal organs.  Stomach, intestinal and heart pains were growing in intensity.  On visiting medical doctors and after blood tests, orthoscopy and a battery of tests no physical cause could be found for his internal organ pains.  Karl started growing increasingly concerned and was willing to try alternatives.

This individual had suffered several severe emotional traumas in his life and negative energy and entity attachments were strongly suspected.  Karl was receiving energy body healings.  The healer noticed two large lumps, suspected attachment points.  A two inch diameter gristly lump was around Karl’s third vertebrae and a larger six inch gristly lump was located in the middle of his back.  The healer sensed sharp energies, which felt like stinging nettle and less often large electrical shocks.

The energy body healings were helping but Karl needed an additional way to help himself on stressful days.  We asked him to try the mega salt baths.  He noticed they helped and increased the effectiveness of his energy body healing sessions.  The baths helped him to lose less ground between healings.

The following things were noticed by Karl while taking salt baths.  During the first 4 lb. sea salt bath he felt a significant decrease in pain.  Towels were used to keep the chunks of sea salt in direct contact with the lumps on Karl’s back and neck.  Bizarre sensations and energy shifts were felt inside these lumps while the wet salt was in contact with them.  The lump on the neck noticeably decreased in size during his first bath.  Karl even heard occasional sizzling sounds associated with the energy movements and sensations in the lump on his neck.  His second sea salt bath also provided significant relief and reduction in size of both lumps.  This indicates heavy salt baths could weaken attachment points.

During a third bath, 8 lb. of pickling salt was used.  Karl was given – using laying of hands – an energy healing while taking this salt bath.  The results from combining energy healing with a salt bath are very promising.  Approximately thirty minutes into the bath, a huge energy shift was felt within Karl as if a large weight had been lifted off of him.

After this bath Karl started noticing other things.  When a person is in a great deal of pain, it is difficult to notice small shifts in pain.  However, he now started to notice that the pain shifted to spots not covered with salt.  For example: Karl would suddenly feel pain shoot to his tooth.  When he put wet salt in his hand and placed this on his cheek, the pain dissipated within half a minute.

Later during other baths he noticed that the spots he usually felt the most pain in started throbbing and pulsing.  After an hour of being in the tub the throbbing spots started to buzz then itch before finally ceasing to have any sensation.  Longer bath times were requested.<< : The Wicca

An Eclectic Path

"Wicca is a deep appreciation and awe in watching the sunrise or sunset, the forest in the light of a glowing moon, a meadow enchanted by the first light of day.   It is the morning dew on the petals of a beautiful flower, the gentle caress of a warm summer breeze upon your skin, or the warmth of the summer sun on your face.   Wicca is the fall of colorful autumn leaves, and the softness of winter snow.   It is light, and shadow and all that lies in between.  It is the song of the birds and other creatures of the wild.   It is being in the presence of Mother Earth’s nature and being humbled in reverence.   When we are in the temple of the Lord and Lady, we are not prone to the arrogance of human technology as they touch our souls.   To be a Witch is to be a healer, a teacher, a seeker, a giver, and a protector of all things.   If this path is yours, may you walk it with honor, light and integrity."

definition:

Eclectic Wicca

Eclectic Wicca is the practice of adopting whatever works for an individual from any of the Wiccan traditions.  The word "eclectic" means to select from a variety of sources.  A person who holds to Cclectic Wicca can adopt rituals and ideas out of Dianic, or Gardnerian, or Druidic, Alexandrian, forms, combine them, and then use them to accomplish whatever is desired.  Furthermore, this means that they can adopt any deity can any religious system whether it be Jesus, Zeus, Athena, Horus, Quetzalcoatl, Stirculius, Hermes, Brahman, Krishna, The Lord and/or Lady, Elementals, Ishtar, Thor, Apollo, etc.

"the Path of some identified as Eclectic-Celtic Wicca, which has taken what its practitioners believe to be the best from several Paths (Irish, Welsh, and Scott, and maybe even some Anglo-Roman influences), is exactly that and is perfectly acceptable."1

"Eclectic Wicca is that form where an individual adopts a mix of various Wiccan principles that he or she thinks are valid for his/her path.2

Eclectic Wiccans affirm personal responsibility, communion with nature, and are generally not into structured Wiccan traditions. They want to know what works and how they can use it for their benefit.
